I keep getting the error "1150 Copying not succesful Error" when trying to backup Quicknote. I looked through the FAQs and didn't find anything, nor was there a mention of it in the help file. How do I fix this?

The error you describe has been reported previously. However, I must say that I have no idea why the Windows ZIP compression library I use does not work in some of these cases.
If you use Windows XP in versions less than Service Pack 3, I would suggest to install Service Pack 3.

As an alternative to back up the notes, you can save the directory My Docuemntsquicknote containing the files quicktmp.xyz where xyz is a number between 000 and 999. If you want to back up your settings and reminders, you need to open the windows registry (Run regedit.exe) and export the key HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarejcmbquicknote, by naviating there and right clicking the "folder" quicknote, and selecting export.

This is on a system running Win7 Pro, 32 bit. It worked fine for years, just started this. It's currently up to quicktmp.704.

I did not install anything other than the updates from Microsoft. My laptop software-wise is almost a clone of this system and the backup gives the same error. Last time I was able to run backup was 06-29-13.

Apparently the backup feature quits working somewhere between 747 and 765 notes. I uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch and it now works. I didn't try adding the old notes to the new since the number of notes seems to be the issue.
